"The most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are memories and moments. If you don't celebrate those, they can pass you by."

ABOUT ME

Hi & Welcome!
So a little about me; My full name is Alexzandra Nicole Cristabelle Pernsteiner Cubas (catch your breath) but feel free to call me by Lexi! I am a Florida native – born, raised and based out of Jupiter. I have major wanderlust, a result from annual family travels every summer while in school. In those years my family and I would travel (by car… and with two other siblings; I’m sure you can picture the chaos during those car rides) to a plethora of destinations. A few of them being Yellowstone National Park, Durango Colorado, Chattanooga Tennessee, and Tallulah Gorge Georgia just to name a few. The memories I have from these trips are by far my most treasured. However, the number of photographs commemorating those precious memories are lacking, making my memories the only “visual” I have to remember them by. As we all know memories fade, and sometimes it’s hard to recall the exact moments and the feeling associated with them.
This is why I photograph. I love being able to capture the moments (even the mundane/ trivial craziness of everyday life stuff) that make up our memories and ultimately define and shape us into us. Capturing the smallness of a newborn/infant, first birthdays, celebrating becoming a mother or father, graduating or even just documenting the craziness of home life is my ultimate goal.
Having those memories to pass on, share, and remember, I think is vital to each persons’ legacy. For me, one of my favorite things to do is to flip through the old family albums, to see my mother in her nursing graduation picture, or to see my father working on a coast guard boat, and seeing my grandpa in his high school football uniform gives me a glimpse into their past, which in a way influenced the person I am today.
I followed my mother’s footsteps into nursing and I currently work full time as a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. I began developing my photography skills while in nursing school. I would barrow my older brothers’ camera and walk through nature, photographing landscapes and wildlife. For me, this was my stress relieving hobby (that and going to the gym). As nursing school came to an end, I was blessed to have many classmates entrust me with the opportunity to take their graduation pictures. During these sessions, being able to capture the joy felt by finishing nursing school, is what really made me think that I really love doing this – capturing those special moments.
As years go by, I have had the opportunity to shoot for fellow co-workers, friends, families, and neighbors. Most recently, a sweet friend had entrusted me to help build her business brand by providing pictures to help market her products on social media. This new challenge and opportunity encompasses my love to help others, but it also awakened a new love - that of helping out small businesses grow. My goal as a photographer is to help, support, and encourage the community around me through portraiture or through collaborating on developing and improving a business image.
Thanks again for stopping by and checking out my work! If you are looking to book a session or looking for someone to help bring your business vision to life, I look forward to hearing from you!
With much love,
Lexi
